Sometimes you need a fresh start. We get it. That's why we've designed a way for you to reset your budget. It doesn't eliminate your debts and make up for overspending in a category, but if you made some mistakes or dropped too many transactions in the wrong place, you can start the month over.
When you reset the budget, EveryDollar will erase that month's budget and recreate it by making a copy of the previous month's budget. All of the budget line items, all of your planned amounts, and all of your ending fund balances and debt balances (sorry!) will carry forward from the previous month to the new month. EveryDollar will also take any tracked transactions and move them into the New Transactions List.
1. Navigate to the month you want to reset and scroll to the bottom of the page. You will see a button that says "Reset Budget".
2. Click "Reset Budget" and a confirmation box will pop up.
3. Once you click to confirm that you want to reset the budget, it will reset to look like the previous month. If you don't have a previous month's budget already created, EveryDollar will reset to a default budget.
